Above All Else, I Want to See Things Differently ~ A Course in Miracles, Lesson 28
There are moments on the mat, maybe in a more challenging Yoga Asana Practice or during a meditation, where we realize: The problem isnโt with what is happening โ itโs how Iโm seeing it.
This is exactly what Lesson 28 of A Course in Miraclesย invites us to practice:
"Above all else, I want to see things differently."
It sounds simple, but it is life-changing. Because most of the time, weโre not actually seeingโweโre reacting, projecting, filtering the world through old stories, fears, or assumptions.
As yogis, weโre constantly asked to see differently.ย Every time we come to the mat, weโre learning to witness with fresh eyes:
To feel the body as it is, not how we wish it to be.
To meet discomfort not as an enemy, but as a teacher.
To soften the mindโs grip and see through the eyes of compassion.
This Practice, Right Now
Amid a noisy world, chaotic news cycles, and personal challenges, itโs easy to stay locked into fearful, limited perception.
But what if โ right now โ we each chose to say: "Above all else, I want to see this differently"?Not to spiritually bypass, but to open to a miracle, which, according to the Course, is simply a shift in perception from fear to love.
Thatโs it. A miracle isnโt lightning in the sky or something reserved for saints. Itโs the quiet moment when you choose peace instead of anxiety. Forgiveness instead of resentment. Presence instead of avoidance.
Our Yoga Practice Becomes the Lab
In each class I teach, we are practicing this. Weโre unlearning. Weโre remembering how to see with the eyes of the heart.
And each week, weโll continue weaving in the teachings of A Course in Miraclesย โ because theyโre not just lofty ideas. Theyโre practical tools for living with more peace, clarity, and connection.
How to Recognize a Miracle
Youโll know itโs a miracle when something that used to trigger you doesnโt anymore. When you soften where you once tensed up. When you realize that maybe, just maybe, things arenโt what you thought โ theyโre better than you feared.
If youโre ready to shift how you see, if youโre curious about the possibility of miracles in the everyday โCome to class. Letโs practice together. On the mat, in the breath, in the stillness โWeโre not just stretching bodies. Weโre stretching perception. Weโre learning to see again.
Join me tomorrow and letโs open the door to miracles.
With love,
Prema
