The Path to True Freedom: Merging Yoga and A Course in Miracles

As we celebrate today—July 4th, a day marked by the symbol of independence and freedom—I've been sitting with a deeper question:

What does it truly mean to be free?

Not just the outer kind of freedom—freedom from rules, obligations, or restrictions—but the inner kind. The kind that can’t be taken or given by any government, person, or circumstance. A freedom that lives in your breath, your awareness, your soul.

So many of us are longing to feel liberated. Free from the anxiety that keeps us up at night.Free from the pressure to be perfect. Free from the invisible weight we carry—of old patterns, old stories, old pain.

And here's the beautiful, gentle truth: Freedom isn’t something we achieve—it’s something we remember.

Yoga: The Journey Inward

Yoga, at its heart, is the path of remembering. Through breath, stillness, movement, and intention, yoga calls us home to the truth of who we are beneath all the noise.

From the yogic perspective, moksha—freedom—is not just liberation from the world, but liberation from the restless mind. It's the still point beneath all striving. The place where we no longer react, resist, or run—but rest in what is real and eternal.

Yoga doesn’t ask us to fix ourselves. It asks us to feel. And in the feeling, we find our way back to presence. Back to peace. Back to the wholeness we never lost.

A Course in Miracles: Shifting the Lens

A Course in Miracles echoes this invitation with radical clarity:

“I am not a body. I am free. For I am still as Love created me.”

It teaches us that freedom comes not from changing the world, but from changing how we see the world. When we shift from fear to love, from judgment to compassion, from control to surrender, we begin to experience life differently.

We begin to feel safe inside ourselves. We begin to forgive. We begin to remember that nothing real can be threatened, and nothing unreal exists.

Together, yoga and A Course in Miracles offer a powerful path of return. Return to presence. Return to love. Return to freedom.

What Freedom Truly Means

True freedom is…

  • The breath you take when you’re no longer trying to prove anything

  • The moment you choose peace over the need to be right

  • The softening of your belly, your jaw, your heart

  • The ability to witness your thoughts without becoming them

  • The remembrance that your worth is not up for negotiation

Freedom is not the absence of responsibility. It’s the presence of inner clarity. A quiet confidence that you are held, guided, and already whole.

An Invitation to Remember

If you’ve been craving a deeper kind of peace—If you’re ready to soften, to slow down, to come home to yourself—I invite you to join me tomorrow morning for a special Yin & Restorative Yoga class.

We’ll gently weave the teachings of A Course in Miracles through each breath, each posture, each moment of stillness. This is more than a class—it’s a sacred space to reconnect with what matters most.

You don’t need to do more. Just a willingness to remember.

Sign up now to reserve your spot. Give yourself the gift of inner freedom. And if someone you love could use a little more peace in their life, share this with them. Let’s rise together.

With love,

Prema
