Thursdays | 9:30am EST | Live on Zoom | Recorded A warm, active practice for women who want to feel strong, vital, and deeply alive at every age. Ha means sun. Tha means moon. Hatha yoga is the ancient art of uniting fire and stillness, effort and surrender, strength and grace. This is not passive stretching. This is your body waking up: kindly, intelligently, and fully. In each 75-minute class, we move through foundational asanas, pranayama, heart-centered mudras, and deep relaxation. Sequences are designed to build real, lasting vitality from the inside out. The pace is warm and steady, with clear guidance and modifications woven throughout so that every body feels supported, never strained. Science now confirms what the tradition has always known: Regular Hatha practice improves balance and upper-body strength, protecting against the falls that become serious risks after 60. Weight-bearing standing poses signal bone-forming cells to stay active, helping defend against the bone density loss that accelerates after menopause. Consistent practice measurably reduces blood pressure, lubricates joints, eases chronic inflammation, and actively supports cognitive health and mental clarity as we age. But what no study can fully capture is what happens when you simply arrive. When the breath drops into the belly. When the shoulders finally release. When something in you remembers who you are beneath the busyness of your life. This class is designed for women from midlife into their 80s and 90s. You do not need to be flexible, experienced, or have it all together. Props are warmly encouraged: mat, blanket, blocks, bolster, strap, wall, or chair. Whatever helps you feel most at home in your body. Bring what you have. Come as you are. Every class is available live and recorded, so you can practice in real time or return to it whenever your week allows. Your way, at your pace.
