Service Description

This class is a sanctuary for your body, your breath, and your heart. A space to soften the edges, to be deeply held, and to remember that rest is not a luxury, but a doorway to healing. Blending the meditative stillness of Yin Yoga with the nurturing embrace of Restorative Yoga, this class is designed to calm the nervous system, release held tension, and reconnect you with the deep well of peace within. Each session is gently infused with the wisdom of yoga philosophy and the soul-awakening teachings of A Course in Miracles, inviting you to shift from doing to being, from fear to love, from effort to grace. We begin with Yin Yoga—a quiet, contemplative practice where poses are held for 3–5 minutes, targeting the body’s deeper connective tissues: fascia, joints, ligaments, and tendons. In this stillness, you are invited to breathe into your edges, observe with compassion, and allow what no longer serves you to gently dissolve. Yin opens the pathways for prana (life force) to flow and brings a sense of spaciousness to body and mind. To close, we transition into Restorative Yoga—a practice of complete surrender, where the body is fully supported with props and the mind is invited into deep rest. In these postures, healing happens on the most subtle levels. The nervous system downshifts, the heart opens, and the miracle of deep peace is remembered. What makes this class truly transformative is the loving awareness woven throughout. You’ll be reminded, in the most gentle of ways, that you are already whole. That you don’t need to “fix” anything to be at peace. As A Course in Miracles teaches, "Peace requires no defense." This practice is your invitation to experience that truth in your body and spirit. This class is especially supportive for: - Releasing tension and restoring the nervous system - Moving through times of grief, transition, or burnout Enhancing flexibility, mobility, and energetic flow Deepening presence, compassion, and inner stillness Supporting graceful aging and holistic well-being Accessible to all students—no prior experience needed. You’ll be lovingly guided through each shape and invited to honor your body with kindness and care. Props to support your practice: Yoga mat, bolster or firm pillows, two blocks, a blanket or two, strap or scarf, and optional eye pillow or towel for comfort. If you can’t attend live, a recording will be automatically emailed to you so you can return to the practice at your own pace, whenever you need.
